Welcome to the Movies
This is a series of essays about film. I've chosen the films with (almost) no specific order, no differentiation between the quality of one over another, and no ratings. Yes, some movies are better than others, but movies--like people--appeal to a wider spectrum than just you or me. I hope that you will find a movie (or two...or three) that you have seen that you feel nostalgic about, something that you wanted to get around to seeing, or something you might not have given much thought to previously. This website has been an exercise in writing about a movie a day. There is no set length to any given essay, although many carry some formatting consistencies. I don't claim to write a comprehensive essay on each and every movie, but look to provide what information that I feel would make for an enjoyable read. I am open to suggestions, and welcome feedback. You can reach out to me via the contact information in the "About" tab. Each page has a link to a YouTube trailer, as well as links to the previous and (where applicable) next essay; the only order they are in is that of when I watched the film, one after another. For those looking for a specific film--or looking to see what has come before without navigate page after page, I recommend viewing the "Essays" tab; each movie is hyperlinked to the corresponding article. This endeavor has been an exciting one; I have seen many movies that I would not have given a chance to before as a result, and it has given me the opportunity to look for elements in these movies that I might have glossed over otherwise. I encourage anyone visiting this site to seek out the movies which they have yet to see that they might like to, if my essays instill that desire. There are a lot of neat movies out there, and it would be a shame to never get to see them.
